The man is standing at attention and holding a sword. The group is posed in front of the school house on Kersting Square. Some have been identified: Etta Holmes, Ada Ayles, Ruth Hawks, Daisy Hawks, Hilda Blumer, Violet Ayles, Edith Blumer, and Elsie Blumer. The man has been identified as Lieutenant Miner.
